Every Auralis device carries a serial number that unlocks its complete manufacturing history: which operator installed the sensor board, which calibration rig verified its accuracy, and which batch of enclosure polymer it was molded from. Here is how that record gets built.

Stage one: the board

Boards arrive from our automated SMT line and pass automated optical inspection plus in-circuit test before human hands ever touch them. Roughly 2% are pulled for destructive analysis — a sampling rate we have kept deliberately high since 2013.

Stage two: assembly and calibration

In our ISO Class 7 clean room, each device is assembled at a single workstation by a single certified operator, then spends four hours on a calibration rig that sweeps every physiological parameter against NIST-traceable references.

Stage three: the burn-in

Finished units run a 48-hour simulated patient load at elevated temperature. Any anomaly — even a single dropped telemetry packet — fails the unit. Pass rates hover around 98%, and every failure is dispositioned by an engineer, not a script.

Only then does a device receive its serial number and its device history record is locked. That is the number a biomedical engineer will scan in a hospital basement eight years from now — and the record will still be there.
